Dear Brethren, Yet another month of God’s goodness. A part from my lower back pain, I have recovered well and pressing on with the Lord’s work. We were privileged to host this year’s African Pastors’ Conference (APC) at our church on July 16th and 17th. Over seventy delegates were registered. As usual, there was again a large number of Pastors from churches outside of Eldoret. This meant arrangement for accommodation and all meals. Many of these Pastors were accommodated in our yet to be finished church office area. Our speakers, Jeffry Gage from South Africa and Benjamin Dean from United Kingdom handled their subjects very well. We had the privilege of hosting in our humble home these two men together with two other brothers who managed the conference books. Thank the Lord with us and pray for fruit to follow this very needful theme of Definitive Features of a Biblical Church. Kisumu Reformed School of Theology (KReST) held its third session of teaching and learning in the first week of August. Over fifteen students were in attendance and received instructions in two courses. Pastor Sam Oluoch taught the Doctrine of Last Things (Eschatology) while I handled the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (Pneumatology). They were also able to sit for their final exams of the previously taught courses: Pastoral Counselling under Pastoral Theology and the Doctrine of Man & Sin under Systematic Theology. Among the most pressing challenges for this steadily growing school of discipline are reference books and students’ accommodation which we believe would be settled by the college acquiring its own parcel of land. Please pray for KReST. Our church has been very much behind as regards making itself known on the Internet platform. We recently, therefore, built a new church website www.gracebaptisteldoret.org after we ran into unexplained challenges with our previous one. Even though the setup has been costly and its annual subscription high, we believe it is the right way to go. We also produced a short YouTube introductory video https://youtu.be/cg9Q3irHkQk for the church. Already some visitors have come to worship with us being guided by these. We thank the Lord for all these technologies and pray we will make greater use of them for His glory. We are in the process of editing our sermon audios and will load them properly for easier access. Please visit our website and learn more about us. We welcome any help or advice towards making it better. Do know that you are most welcome to visit and worship with us. A very encouraging trend is slowly developing among our young church members. After the afternoon Sunday service, we go out to visit brethren in their homes, especially those who fail to attend the Lord’s Day worship. Two Sundays ago, a group of us walked over and visited the family of my fellow elder whose wife and son have been going through ill health. After that we went to the home of other church members. In both homes, we sang and encouraged the hosts. It is also an opportunity for discussions on biblical issues including talking about the sermons of the Day. During the last Lord’s Day, the brethren came for fellowship in our house. As I write this report, are involved with our Reformed Youth Conference being held in the city of Nakuru. I will give this report in my next Ministry Report God willing. Thank you for your continued support.
